Project Manager

Position Overview
MARKON is currently looking for a Project Manager to support large programs within the intelligence community.   Candidate will be required to coordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle of facilities related projects. Candidate should have strong CAD Design background with an ability to manage the project design and/or construction effort. Candidate will be responsible for management and evaluation of contractor performance, as well as responsibility for project change requests.  Candidate must also possess knowledge of systems furniture and provide official weekly project status reports.


Additional duties include assembling a high performance, integrated team of all stakeholders, manage communications with stake holders, assist Contracting Officer with acquisition planning, execution, and administration, as well as collect requirements, prepare SOW, conduct market research, and develop purchase justification.  
Candidate must also have an ability to conduct technical review and evaluate project solicitations, as well as review and approve shop drawings and submittals.  Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction site visits and validate invoices for payment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in architecture, building engineering or interior design
  • Ten (10) years experience in facilities engineering, design
  • Security Clearance Required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Professional Engineering Certification Preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with multiple vendors
