The new LDP session kicked off on Friday, April 28 and it was a jam-packed session.
We started off with introductory remarks from Matt Dean. Matt noted the overwhelming number of LDP members in leadership positions in the firm. He challenged the group to continue the trend of not having to make external hires for leadership roles.
The group then took turns introducing themselves and challenging each other with “Two Truths and a Lie.” Not as easy as it sounds with this crew!
Lunch was from Super Chicken (big hit!) and followed by a conversation with Ray Carney. Ray, an original LDP facilitator discussed his background, leadership from his perspective, and then spent some time on his role as the commercial sector portfolio lead and the operations leader.
Ray was followed by Steve Genn who gave out the results of the group’s Myers-Briggs assessments. He discussed the history and origins of Myers-Briggs. We worked through some exercises to help fully understand the different personality traits and pairings. Ultimately, we hope to become more self-aware based on this information and able to apply this outside of LDP.
We’re off to a great start. Next month is our introduction to the Clearing and The Primes! Should be an enlightening session.
