I help oversee construction of United States Government facilities overseas and make sure U.S. standards are being met.
What's your favorite part of the job?
I like that I get to spend time outside on a construction site and don’t have to sit at a desk all day. I also like that I get to see the physical results of my work as projects are constructed.
Why did you choose a career in engineering?
I wanted to make a difference in the world and have the technical skills to do so.
Any advice for young girls considering an engineering career?
Go for it! Know that you have the ability to learn and become anything you want. There are endless career opportunities both in and out of engineering.
