This Thanksgiving season, the Markon Huntsville team came together to support the local community through a month-long food drive. With the generosity of our employees, we were able to collect nearly 150 pounds of food, providing 484 servings and more than 74,000 calories to families in need. This food drive offered a meaningful way to give back and strengthen our connection to the Huntsville community. In times of stress and disruption, staying connected is more than a gesture – it’s how we maintain communication, collaboration, and a sense of collective purpose. Coming together helps sustain morale, foster transparency, and remind us that we’re not facing challenges alone. On Friday, October 31, over 200 members of Team Markon gathered for our hybrid Fall All-Hands Meeting, pausing to reflect and realign on our shared mission and the path ahead in the face of uncertainty. One of our own, Hareko Keel, Marine Corps veteran and valued Markon teammate, was recently recognized as the oldest Marine in attendance at a 2024 ceremony, taking part in the timeless cake-cutting tradition. After several years away, Hareko was urged by Marines he once led through Iraq and Afghanistan to return to the celebration. He accepted their invitation and attended three Balls, participating in one and receiving VIP honors in two. We’re grateful to Hareko and every Marine, past and present, for your unwavering dedication to something greater than yourselves.
