Markon Volunteers for 2021 Project Management Day of Service

On February 20th, Markon participated in the Project Management Day of Service hosted by Project Management for Change.

Steve Genn, Allen LeMessurier, and Michelle Obata represented Markon for the full-day event. Each volunteer provided pro-bono project management guidance to a local non-profit through a problem-solving session to conquer their most significant challenges.

Allen supported the Waterford Foundation, one of America's first community-based historic preservation organizations. Their mission is to preserve the historic buildings and open spaces of the National Historic Landmark of Waterford, Virginia, and through education, to increase the public's knowledge of life and work in an early American rural community. Together they identified a path forward for the Waterford Foundation's online presence and tackled some organizational challenges. Steve and Michelle were returning PMDOS volunteers and enjoyed working with American Turkish Association and WETATi.

Markon also had the opportunity to support the first-ever virtual PMDOS event as the Spotlight Sponsor! See why we love our partnership with PMDOS in this video:
