    Project Management for Change

2017-Markon-Project-Management-Day-of-Service-e1484853388271On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a team of Markon employees spent their day off making our community a better place.

The team participated in the Project Management for Change Day of Service, which exists to bring together project managers and nonprofits in need of support.

Throughout the day, the team scopes and plans projects for these organizations so that they can do more to serve our local communities.

Markon’s Project Management for Change team was led by Julie Swiatek and consisted of Devy Cox, Bryan Doss, and Steve Genn.

2017-Markon-Project-Management-Day-of-Service2-e1484853406367Their goal for the day was to scope a project to help increase the number of sponsors for the DC SCORES CUP. DC SCORES creates neighborhood teams that give kids in need the confidence and skills to succeed on the playing field, in the classroom, and in life.

The DC SCORES CUP is their largest fundraising event. As a result of our team’s efforts, DC SCORES will be able to increase the number of sponsors for their soccer challenge event and potential future engagement from participants.
